Smiles and Songs

This is Samon.

She is a beautiful 14 year old young woman. Her favourite things to do are singing and dancing. She loves the little things in life that we often forget about. She's full of enthusiasm for Thai dancing, painting nails, snapping fingers, ice cream, smiling, Christmas lights, and loud obnoxious actions to a wild and crazy song.
Sometimes however; Samon is not full of smiles. She struggles with concentrating  when given the task of simple school activities or crafts. She often becomes distant and shuts down, letting her mind take control and causing her to get upset. She is not violent, so she takes out her frustration on herself, marking up her arms and face.
She is on the road to gaining more independence, but can't do it alone. She needs to know why her mind makes her upset, and what she can do gain more focus in her everyday life.

This is Samon's t-shirt.

All profits made from this shirt will go towards Samon seeing a Mental Health Specialist. It will finance her visit to the specialist and then support whatever strategies they reccomend for her to gain independence. This might mean medication for a mental health disorder, or simply things Samon can do to deal with why she is upset.

A short visit to the doctor could change Samon's life in an incredible way. The people around her need to know what she's dealing with mentally so that they can help her in the best way possible.

Keep this beautiful individual smiling.

What is Future For Five?

I have this idea.

Future for Five is focused on the 5 specific needs of 5 specific children. There is a t-shirt for each child. The profits from the shirts go towards the need that they represent.

The children are all orphans with disabilities located in Pakkred, Thailand. Some of them live at the orphanage Rainbow House, and some of them attend a daycare that Rainbow House provides.

These are the five and their needs
Bee- To have a physiotherapist
Joy- To have a nutritionist evaluate his diet and fund for special ingredients
Samon- To see a mental health specialist and come up with strategies to cope
Anna- To see a speech therapist and learn how to communicate
All Children- To have an English program to teach them the English language

Each t-shirt has an outline of Thailand on the front. There is a heart located where the children are in Thailand. The name of the child is next to the heart. The back of the shirt has a list of the 5 different needs.

Rainbow House is a project of CCD Thailand. Check out their website at www.ccdthailand.org

Take a look at the children posted above and see how you can help!
